PHILOSOPHY

I do not create scent only to smell beautiful

To me, scent is a way of revealing what often lives beneath the surface: memory, tension, softness, instinct, desire, restraint, and the parts of ourselves or our brands that are not always easy to explain.

My work lives between chemistry and feeling. I am drawn to the molecular structure of raw materials, but also to the emotional atmosphere they can hold. A material is never just a material to me.

It can be clean but unsettling, soft but animalic, familiar but strange, beautiful but slightly disturbed. That contradiction is where I often begin.

I listen beyond the brief

As a perfumer, I have always listen beyond the brief. I observe the emotion behind the words, the hesitation behind a preference, the memory behind a note, and the identity a client is trying to reach but has not fully recognized yet.

A bespoke fragrance is not obedience. It is translation.

MY BACKGROUND

Art, chemistry, and fine fragrance

Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, I began my creative path in art and visual storytelling before moving into natural skincare formulation, cosmetic chemistry, and fine fragrance.

I have worked with scent through formulation, education, brand development, and bespoke creation for 9 years. Still learning and experimenting to give the best result for both clients & students.

My formal training includes studies in Grasse, France, The Art of Perfumery, the United Kingdom, and PerfumersWorld Thailand, with advanced education across raw materials, accords, fragrance composition, and the structure behind fine perfumery.

CEO & HEAD EDUCATOR OF KLEI STUDIO ACADEMY

I founded Klei Studio Academy known KSA, an Asia Perfume Foundation-approved center of perfumery academy in Indonesia, to raise the standard of scent education and fragrance creation in the region.

RUAE & SELECTED WORKS

An artistic side,
and confidential commissions

Alongside bespoke commissions, I created RUAE, my own artistic fragrance project — a space where I explore scent through my 100% olfactory lens.

RUAE reflects a more instinctive side of my work: quiet, personal, sometimes contradictory, and made to invite people to feel the other side of life’s story.

Selected works include private fragrance commissions, brand scent direction, and confidential fragrance development for clients from around the worlds include: Indonesia, Brunei, and the United States.

Some projects remain undisclosed by agreement, especially for founders and brands developing unreleased fragrance concepts.
